LIMITED EDITION Marc Jacobs Sky-Liner Seven Piece Petite Highliner Collection

I could not wait to get my hands on a little bit of Marc Jacobs for this holiday season.  This Marc Jacobs Limited Edition Sky-Liner Collection was first on my list.  It's absolutely gorgeous and seems to be selling out faster and faster every time it comes back in stock.  So what's the hype about? Is it worth it?

Packaging
The box alone packs a major wow factor.  The box is shiny black with silver lettering and border.  The case for the liners is shiny black plastic with sliver lettering as well. Rounded corners and minimalist "Marc Jacobs" adds to the designer feel.  Inside are 7 liners, each a different color, in a chrome plastic pencil.  The product twists up from the bottom.

I had tried the Marc Jacobs Gel Highliner in Blacquer before.  I'm very impressed with how deep and dark the black actually is.  And it LASTS.

From top to bottom:

O(vert): Metallic Green

Brown(out):Brown/bronze with gold flecks

Sunset: Gold

Midnight in Paris: Teal with silver flecks

Th(ink): Navy with purple flecks

(Plum)age: Violet or Lilac

Blacquer: Black

After swatching these and taking pictures over 2 hours ago, these are all still going strong.  I didn't use primer.  I've also washed my hands twice.  Not a smudge to be seen.  They are still dark and sparkly! I've also worn Brown(out) to a bonfire.  Even with my eyes watering from the smoke, no streaks or smears at all.  Fantastic quality!

Value
This set is $45 at Sephora for 7 0.01oz eyeliners.  While that may seem expensive, consider that the full sized Marc Jacobs Highliners are $25 each for 0.01oz.  That's a great value.  The quality of these liners makes this item for me.  Smooth, creamy, and won't budge. All of these colors are very usable for the fall winter. These go on easy with the pencil, but have the deep colors of a liquid/gel liner.

If you have a makeup loving fashionista on your list who's been extra nice this year, you might want to think about gifting them with this set. Because this set is sure to impress and is worth every penny! Get it while you can, and don't forget to get yourself a set as well!
